Show up where AI answers the question.

Generative Engine Optimization makes your brand easier for AI systems to understand, trust and cite — in Google AI Overviews, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and whatever comes next.

What is GEO?

Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) is the work of making your content and brand the source an AI system pulls from when it generates an answer.

Traditional SEO optimises to be the link someone clicks. GEO optimises to be the source AI summarises, rephrases or quotes — often without a click at all. You can rank well and still not get cited, and you can get cited without ranking #1.

What I help with

AI visibility check

How ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and AI Overviews currently describe your brand and category — and who they cite instead of you.

Entity clarity

Making it explicit who you are, what you do and how you relate to other known entities — on-site, in schema, and across the web.

Original information

Data, specific cases and expert perspective that AI systems can't get from a hundred other pages.

Citation-worthy structure

Extractable answers, clean headings and pages built so a model can lift the right passage.

What doesn't change

Technical crawlability, speed and a coherent site structure still matter — AI crawlers have to reach and parse your content first. GEO is additive to SEO, not a replacement for it. And it's still evolving, so treat any GEO advice (including mine) as directional, not gospel.

GEO FAQs

What's the difference between GEO and AEO?

AEO focuses on being the direct answer in search features like snippets and People Also Ask. GEO focuses on being cited and summarised inside AI-generated responses. In practice they overlap heavily.

Can you guarantee my brand appears in ChatGPT?

No one can guarantee that. What you can do is make your brand clearer, more credible and more citable — which measurably improves your chances.

How do you measure GEO?

By tracking a set of real prompts across AI tools over time — whether you're mentioned, how you're described, and which sources get cited — alongside referral traffic from AI platforms.
